How Long Dermarollers Last

Posted on 20th May 2009 by admin in Dermaroller Facts

Could you tell me how long your dermaroller lasts before it needs changing?

It depends on several factors which should be taken into account when choosing which Dermaroller to buy. (We are on hand to help at any time)

Firstly, which model Dermaroller are you buying. Generally, the more expensive the derma roller the longer it will last. Higher quality models will have needles will be made from improved materials. Whilst most dermarollers are made from medical grade stainless steel, there are other types available including titanium alloys.

Secondly, how often are you using it. It is common sense to appreciate that the more you use it, the sooner it will need to be replaced.

Finally, how are you using and maintaining it. If you only apply the dermaroller lightly, don’t drop it and clean it regularly, you are going to extend the life of your dermaroller considerably.

However, the general rule of thumb is that your dermaroller should be lasting around three months. This gives more than enough time for the results of any dermaroller treatment to begin showing through.

The rule of thumb is about three months – more than enough time for results to show. This of course is largely affected by the model of dermaroller you choose, how often you use it and how well you look after your dermaroller.

I totally agree here. Anything that pokes your skin so many times and so often MUST be replaced regularly.
